About the studios:
GREENHOUSE PRINT SPACE was formed in the middle of 2024 by Thayer Bray, taking over the former KCCIPA space. Greenhouse has facilities and equipment for intaglio, lithography, relief, screenprinting, letterpress, papermaking, bookbinding, and analog photography. Through memberships, private studios, a rotating monthly education program and special events, Greenhouse Print Space is dedicated to contributing and growing a community and culture of print in and around Kansas City. At Greenhouse Print Space, we want to help you grow your skills, grow your oeuvre, grow your career, and grow your community.
TWIN HOUND PRINT SHOP is a traditional printmaking studio located in Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms. Our shop offers artists affordable access to Lithography, Relief, Intaglio, Risograph and Screen Print facilities through workshops, memberships and residences.

Intramuscular Processing
Curated by Kansas City Art Institute Painting Pro Practice
April 18 - May 2, 2026
Opening Reception Saturday, April 18, 5-8pm
Intramuscular Processing examines the expansive systems that inform contemporary artistic practice and lived experience. Drawing from a range of interdisciplinary influences, the artists in this exhibition approach painting not as a fixed medium but as one component within a broader material and conceptual framework.
Developed through shared studio environments and sustained interdepartmental dialogue, this cohort reflects an understanding of painting that extends beyond traditional boundaries. The works included engage with biological, geological, sociological, political, and psychological systems, exploring how such structures shape perception, behavior, and form.
Collectively, the exhibition presents a series of investigations into the conditions that define this moment. Each work operates as a point of entry into larger networks of relation, offering insight into how systems are constructed, experienced, and reconfigured.
As a whole, the exhibition functions as both a reflection and a proposition—documenting current lines of inquiry while opening space for continued exploration.
