Soft Incisions

A soft incision is the moment just before love becomes pain and pain becomes care as machines begin to replace the functions of the human body. The exhibition, Soft Incisions,highlights the tender moments of caring for an ill loved one. It makes the hospital a home and the home a hospital, as domestic and medical objects merge together to serve as the final resting place for someone you love. The installation addresses the body as a boundary.
