under your tongue (what you keep)

A solo exhibition by moll(ie) caffey

Aug 11-31, 2025

under your tongue (what you keep), an exhibition of work from moll’s time in residency. caffey is consumed by considerations on the states of being and becoming and spends a great deal of time talking and thinking about the phenomenon of life and the constant turning-over, stretching, and morphing of it through evolution. The work they pull up and out and forth, can be considered a “visual poetics” in that it is necessary for them to traverse between written and symbolic/ formal aesthetic languages to propose and translate, which is usually non-linear and rides a frequency of association, practices the same as life by culling together seemingly disparate parts to come to a point. It is all inspired by the motif of the web – possibly the meta-structure of the universe.
