i am SO MAD centers an emotion we too often dismiss in children: anger. It’s easy to overlook, minimize, or correct a child’s frustration, but anger, like all feelings, needs to be heard, seen, and cared for. Children don’t just express anger, they embody it, move through it, and often ask for exactly what they need. And they do it without shame.

This exhibition features artwork by children under 12, capturing the raw, funny, loud, messy, and deeply honest ways they respond to injustice, irritation, or just a bad day. Through this show, we invite you to take children’s feelings seriously, to celebrate their courage to express, and to reimagine anger not as something to control, but as something to care for.
