A Grain of Sand is a group exhibition featuring Kansas City and Chicago-based artists Chris Salas, Merry Sun, Fengzee Yang, and Isaiah Vasquez. Through the mediums of ceramics, sound, and improvised sculptural processes, this exhibition will question the quieter effects of time observed through geological events. Each artist sifts through personal histories to re-encapsulate and suspend memories and lived experiences in sonic and physical forms. Unified through granular reconfigurations, time is compressed and stretched into varying systems that are scaled to the identities of the artists.
